Our church has been participating in various events at a local public elementary school for about 3 years. Last summer we discussed participating in this school's version of a career day; we hoped to have our pastor present the idea of a career in ministry. The school's principal was enthusiastic about having him do so; but a couple of weeks before the event, we were told that this violated the county's policy concerning separation of church and state. Has anyone else encountered this, and how did you work around it to get permission to present a career in ministry in a public school?
