You may not be able to switch insurance companies because of the high fire issue. However, what may be a possibility to check into is having the person who wants to do the day care may be able to get independent liability insurance for the he day care alone. I don't know if it's even possible, but it may be worth checking into.

Subject: Property & Liability Insurance for our Church
This post may be more for Colorado area but thought I'd throw it out there. We are a small church in the foothills of Colorado. This area has been rated a "high fire danger area" We are currently insured. We have been approached by a local resident to run an independent daycare out of our church. There is a huge need in the area for this and we are considering it. We checked with our current insurance company and were told if we did allow the daycare they would not continue to cover us. So, we have started to search for a new insurance company and have not had any success, not because of the daycare but because of the high fire danger area rating. Any recommendations? Thanks,
