Just wondering if anyone out there is using Paycor or Paychex and if yes, how's it working for you?

    Good morning Virginia:

We presently use Paychex, and I am not happy with their service.  Many times they do things that are not in our contract.  Have been looking at other companies, but have not gotten very far due to the holiday.

God blessings on your new year.

    Hello Virgina-

We are a larger church/school with about 100 employees. We use PayCom, and have had really good results with them. This is a link to their site. Hope this helps.

Our church only has 5 employes. I use Payroll Mat software from RealBusiness Systems. It is loaded on a PC and after setting up the data on each employee it is very easy to generate pay checks and/or pay stubs, 941s, W-2 & W-3s etc. Best part it only costs about $200/yr.

Yes we use Paychex, we’ve been using them for a few years now. As long as you have it set up correctly it works wonderfully. A tad bit expensive but for the amount of work that you don’t have to do I think it’s worth it. We have seven employees and it cost about $60 a month

We researched Paycor, Paychex and MinistryWorks. MinistryWorks was less expensive after all discounts. So far it's working well, but we're in year one of use.

    Greetings!

Our church started using Paycor about 3 years ago. I have been working with it for just over 2 years. We have about 38 paid staff, most of which are hourly workers. The hourly workers "punch the clock" through an app on their phones. Frequently, they have difficulty making those punches and a supervisor has to log in to the system to correct the errors.

When pay raises went into effect at the start of our fiscal year, the change was part way through a pay period. Paycor did a great job of pro-rating the days for the salaried employees. For the hourly employees, I had to review each timecard and make manual adjustments for each hourly employee.

Onboarding new employees is not a difficult task. It would be easier if we subscribed to more of Paycor's options.

By and large I am satisfied with Paycor, but I don't have much experience with other payroll companies.

Our church and preschool is using Paycor for payroll every two weeks.  Paycor is somewhat difficult to work with because there is no specific representative assigned to our account.  I am the volunteer treasurer at our church.  Our HR Team Leader had a difficult time adding me to the Paycor church account because I was not an employee.  Eventually I was given access to Payroll records and reports.  I can download payroll records in PDF format only because excel downloads are not an option.  I also had one occasion where Paycor was late paying our Workers' Comp bill because of issues on their end.  We used to have payroll done by a local accounting firm and only changed because Concordia said that Paycor was their partner.  I don't consider Paycor to be user friendly.  On the other hand, Paycor does stay abreast of the latest laws and regulations.  They do "true ups" for Workers' Comp as required by our state.  The payroll mistakes that have occurred is because of input errors and omissions on our church's part--not Paycor's part.
