Earlier this week a Shareboard user posted a question about pay rates for childcare lead care givers and workers. There is a tool that might be helpful to that ministry, and others, as you look at worker compensation questions.
The Compensation Decision Support Tool was created at the request of LCMS district leaders years ago. The tool can be used to generate compensation numbers for a variety of positions in both LCMS churches and schools. There are actually two separate tools, one for church positions and one for school positions, but they function the same way.
The tool is free to use and you can run as many estimates as you like. Note that the numbers generated are not mandates or even suggestions, but rather estimates based on the factors you use in your calculation. Click here to visit the tool.
